Oh and BTW. He is proud that I only killed him once when he was a noob and destroyed only two of his many bases but still knows I didn't loot the cupboards. LOL!

The Tribe owns 100% seeds that have never grown outside of Tribal Lands. How else would we have 100% product never seen by anybody else on the server unless we grew it ourselves?

That I highly doubt. Noobs don't tend to have 100% purity seeds. Because that's your greatest achievement in this game. The number of noobs you have killed. Just remember, don't post a picture of anything you aren't willing to lose ;)

How many were lost amidst this mess? You have a lot less sheds now :)

Dear Chief,

Let me approach the issue from a different angle;
I know this is unlikely, but for the sake of it, let's assume.

A group (clan) of 15 people joins Plymouth.
They stay hidden and work hard.
They reach maximum purity, without help, in the current system.
They reach maximum biles with the current purity system.
They train hard to understand the combat system and become adept in PVP.

What would their chances be of beating the Tribe at it's current state?
Imagine you are hung over, having a bad day and are not on the top of your game... What are their chances?

They would be outnumbered & out humoured with characters that are one year behind. They would lose miserably, but the same would be true if the Tribe were to start with them on a brand new server started tomorrow under the same circumstances.

A group (clan) would need approx 45 active players for (6)+ months undetected in order to even the playing field. A fair requirement in my opinion considering they would be dethroning an organization that established dominance since December of 2012 and killing characters that have probably had upwards of 500 hours invested in them at this point.

Okay, so according to you, regardless of the legacy hummus and the advantages the Tribe has (a.o. numbers and experience), at this stage it would be nearly impossible to compete with the Tribe.

So then it would be safe to say, legacy hummus or not, this is not the issue.

The issue is, why did you destroy any potential new player base on Plymouth?
I have met a few that get that tingly feeling (of sexual healing) for the killing blow, but it comes with a price at such a low player base in general.

So why do you insist/persist on wearing out the current state of Salem? More fairly the server of Plymouth.

And did the developers ever say anything about it to you?

Not at all. I think a guild of 40 players is a very realistic thing. Staying undetected for a few months also "doable" although probably just smarter to pay the Treaty with bad intentions in mind at this juncture. Of course if a group of 10-20 solid players came they could probably accomplish the task with twice the time so given a year or so of putting in more work than the Tribe they may also close the gap. The point is that anybody starting today has a lot of work ahead of them to overcome the current gap in power levels, however, with our Lime Program on Plymouth it is possible to achieve 1,000 humours just by trading us lime. So yes, legacy hummus is in no way related to our continued dominance.

RuneNL wrote:The issue is, why did you destroy any potential new player base on Plymouth?

We did not. All Treaty Payers of Plymouth are safe and sound. Only Criminals who choose not to support the server and justice are dispatched. The reason why Plymouth is the safest server.

RuneNL wrote:I have met a few that get that tingly feeling (of sexual healing) for the killing blow, but it comes with a price at such a low player base in general.

You make a lower player base sound like a bad thing. Why should I care if I am playing with 10, 100 or 1,000 other players at a time? I can only have so many chat windows open @ one time and that number is much less than 50.

RuneNL wrote:So why do you insist/persist on wearing out the current state of Salem? More fairly the server of Plymouth.

Do you ask somebody who plays RISK why they insist on taking over every country on the board? Or why somebody playing Monopoly has forced a player to go bankrupt by demanding they pay the Hotel bill on Boardwalk? The better question is why do you perceive the elimination of direct competition to be wearing out the state of a game instead of playing out the natural course of the game?

RuneNL wrote:And did the developers ever say anything about it to you?

Only appreciation for the Tribe's dedication to their product.

The answer is: he didn't.

The reason for the low amount of logged-in players on Plymouth is:
1. A big river of tears, caused by those, who - when killed by the Tribe - went QQ'ing here in the forums, which lead to
2. a constant bad-mouth of the server and its population by them and all others, who are simply jealous with the Tribe and their state of power on Plymouth.

And since it is considered as "good manners" in HoB to bad-mouth someone and it is done regularly against the Tribe or the Plymouth server itself (just count how often the server status is linked as soon as people do not find any valid arguments...), every newb who comes to play the game and just digs a little in the forums is just turned away from playing on Plymouth.

Therefore is the "destruction of the potential new player base on Plymouth" the combined work of 15-20 Tribe-haters.
In feudalism, it's your count that votes...

The question in this topic is not really about the chief ruining the game. Its about his followers thinking he's cool for being that douche rogue lv90 killing lvl 10s in Westfall.

To be honest the fact he killed Plymouth of everyone cept the tribe is just a small consideration of victory in a game that is broken.

As far as Chief's examples of Monopoly or Risk its hardly the same due to the flawed mechanics & developers inability to fix the game that has brought the game down.
Its like saying yeh lets play monopoly but the guy who sits down first gets 150k more Money everytime he passes go. (cuz lets face it once you have purity stuff you keep making more). Or Risk where the guy 1st at the table gets a new army every other turn.

FUN TIMES RIGHT! (Insert darwoth image x 3 playing monopoly).

No. For a game to succeed and be fun there has to be some sense of fairness and if not at least some decent level of catching up system. Neither is there in Salem. NOt to mention every other patch coming out probably makes the game worse for the newbies. The only way i see salem being fun to play again for the majority of players is implementing a wipe system every 6months. That way people could compete from day 1 and even if they start late (4th-6month) they have a chance to kill other players due to the long ass grind getting in the way of people gaining abnormal humor levels. (remember were not talking of starting with legacy purity now)

Chief feel free to comment something about my mother or what not. Youre one of those people who even with todays Medicine cant be helped and can do nothing about your nature.

As a last remark i feel sorry for all of the guys still here playing this piece of **** game. And for those thinking i still play because i posted a comment i merely opend the forums sitting on the train with my phone.

P.S. Jorb & loftar i wish you the best and hope your ideas will not Catch on to other devs.
