Forum: Current password is incorrect

Postby Kandarim » Mon Sep 23, 2013 3:16 pm

So, basically what I wrote in the title.
Whenever I try to change my account settings (UCP -> Profile -> Change account settings), it requires me to enter my password. I'm 100% sure it is the right password, as I can log in with it for the forums and the game. I have never used this functionality before, so I'd like to get some confirmation whether others are having the same issues.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

You should use the "account" button on the top. If you can't see it then you have to use the log in button instead.

This probably has to do with unwanted consequences of changing your password for the forum only. You can pass a log in to the forum, but not sure if you can pass account changes out.

Would be a good idea to hide that screen if it isn't going to be used just to prevent confusion. I couldn't say what it would take to hide it, though. (Probably take some PHP code on the server to do so.) Google isn't cooperating easily on this search.
I am a moderator. I moderate stuff. When I do, I write in this color.

Ah yes, that does make sense. I was looking to make my e-mail known through the forum, but I see the issue with changing the forum password conflicting with the integration of salem<->forum accounts.
