Thanks Kandarim, interested in more replies from other people on this.
6)Can you run several clients at once? Sound terribly risky outside well established compound...

I usually have two characters logged in, three if i've got a couple of them chopping trees, digging or doing other such slow processing stuff.

And yes, you can have several game clients running, although characters will have to be on different accounts to be able to play with them simultaneously.

Two characters from the same account could be logged in at the same time, e.g. from criminal debuffs or an inability of logging out on foreign town soil. You'll only be able to play with one at a time, though.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

The easiest way is to right click it on the mini map.

Alright, been working on the chars (sadly didn't use ender's client properly from the start so don't have that many tiles on my maps) scouting around to find a place to live in.
8)Reviewing the wiki I found a couple bottlenecks, so just asking if I got this right 1 nails for sawbuck, 3 bars of iron and 2 nails for ore smelter, 8 nails for mine entrance, 1 nails for tunning tab to get leather for woo woo wand, if I don't have clay pit available then 1 nails for bucket, 1 nails for clay through, so 14 nails and 3 bars of iron to start smelting my own ore?

Yeah, you will have to buy the first bit of iron bars to be able to start off production. FYI, you can probably mooch a bucket and a woowoo wand off the person you buy the iron bars from :) I know I have plenty to spare.

Thanks Kandarim.
9) I noticed that when I level perennial philosophy, it raises only by 100 and no other proficiencies are gained even when they're full. Is it safe to assume that if I don't specifically raise perennial philosophy, it won't be raised at all? Or I have just lost a lot of proficiencies when I could have raised other proficiency and still gain 100 perennial philosopy?
10)What does alchemy do? It's not listed in the wiki.

Nope, perennial is just extra hard.
Proficiency Change: Whenever you level up a proficiency, all proficiency meters that are currently full and processed (green) are now increased by one point, except for the proficiency you actually clicked to increase, which is instead increased by two points.

Perennial Philosophy is still leveled at a pace of one point at a time, and never increases as a side effect of levling another proficiency.

9) From the update thread on this feature, https://forum.salemthegame.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6014, perennial will only increase when you study it specifically and will never increase another proficiency alongside of it. It's a *****.

10) Alchemy is the general term for changing elemental composition of items (for better or for worse) through tools such as the pressure cooker, the test tubes, and so on.
