Sounds like someone is **** scared from the chief as tension grows.

Scents should last FOREVER PERIOD. If i go murder someone, all evidence will be kept untill it is no longer required, even after the case is solved and im executed / put in prison for my crime some times evidence is kept in lockup.

Just seems like old Criminals (Cough you want to stop paying treaty) want a new get out of jail free card.

This is terribad suggestion.

Gathered scents should last FOREVER, and never decay, just like real evidence once collected. You see that knife from the murder scene, That will never vanish, and will always be kept in police evidence lockup until the perp is found and tried as a criminal, even then it will most likely be kept in holding.

Lol, I've been saying that this was an issue since long before the tribe was any sort of power. And you're saying that people are never allowed to take a break from the game unless they want to defend themselves for months in order to do so, kk

You should not be trying to imitate real life exactly when it comes to making a game. That will just lead to poor design mechanics and choices. In this case, it is obviously pretty stupid if a scent doesn't expire in a timely fashion.

Because you live in modern times. Hell, even today cases go cold and people get away with murder. Wind the clock back 300-400 years. There's only an inkling of a beginning of forensic science and no way of preserving evidence. Also, because of the lack of fast transportation and difficulty in communication, it was easy to evade the local law and get away from a crime scene even if you were figured out.

What kind of evidence would that be? Probably not evidence of murder, if you read Colesie's post. Would be good to know how long each type lasts.
