Stuck as Town Mayor

I left my old town to be further away from other Towns, but when I left I didn't know that Id have to renounce my mayorship at the bell I thought I could just do it in the adventure menu is their any other way to leave the town without traveling to the bell?

At this time, no. You must be at the town bell to renounce mayorship. It's on a long list of improvements from the players for town claims, though.

aww, well that sucks I guess im stuck traveling back to my old town. any idea when this new system as resigning as town mayor will be?
