tree growth times

Postby martinuzz » Tue Aug 13, 2013 11:07 pm

I always thought that the time it took to go from sapling to adult tree was always the same.
But now I planted 8 trees at the same time (maybe 1 minute in between because of walking times), yet only 5 of them are ready to strike cutlings, and 3 of them aren't. Waited 30 minutes, still aren't ready.
Anyone did any science on this?

I noticed the same thing on my tree wall. Some adult trees in my line did not have the ability to strike cutlings. It was maybe 1 in (8-15). They have since then grown cutlings as well.

i have just now got this too: i am 100% sure i planted them within a minute of eachother, and one is now ready to take cuttings, and one is not. I time my trees and the first one was a bit overdue (a couple of hours), while the second one is not ready yet.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.
