Regenerating Lime Pits

It would be nice if the Lime pits regenerate themselves every so often. That way all of us could have an endless supply of lime.

1. Move your lime alt somewhere else
2. Infinite lime until all lime pits in the world run out

so, technically, not infinite but quite enough I think :)
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

There are lime pits that are big enough that its unlikely you will ever run out of lime, just use one of them.

If all the lime pits in the world were to run out, I expect a significant price increase due to needing to forage them off the ground, but that won't happen for a long time.

I didn't realize one could even exhaust a lime pit. I thought you had to just keep digging down the dirt around the sides too.

yes, that's possible. Personally I just prefer to move on to a new and untouched lime pit. Digging down the sides would then only be limited to the maximum height difference per tile and certain indestructible objects around the world (rivers, most likely, or boston buildings or cliffs that cannot be dug). Obviously, the lime supply is endless in practice.

Yeah I've depleted one pit too.
Solution is indeed to move to another pit, there are more than plenty to go around.
