The corn in corn pudding does not apply its modifier, this greatly reduces the usefulness of corn.

That is unfortunate, everything should affect the stats, such as fish in the reeds(type of fish), etc. But on a side note, stick with Goldtilla. I don't think this is a bug though.

The the other 'any corn' recipe applies its modifier its just corn pudding that does not, sounds like a bug to me.
