The results are not random each ingredient modifies the base recipe using a simple equation. The only large flaw it seems to have is that it seems a bit unfinished, many things that should have modifiers don't.

It just seems a bit random if you mix and match things, like a simple steak is not a simple steak. You can no longer trust what the icon says it "should" give.

Ive seen recipes such as the garlic split roast (normally gives no phelgm) give 30 phelgm at 0% purity. And all the other humor factors are totally wrong. Seems quite random in what ingredients you use to what you get. I understand its not random by using snake meat, then going to deer (the numbers will be the same, just higher) But there are ways to totally transform the item into something which it was NOT intended to give. Just because when you craft it, it says it will have X statistics is total bull. Its random as to what items give what, and make the food do what. I understands its not totally random, but it seems random until you can nail down what does what, to what items.

Back to the Garlic Split-Roast. Does the garlic make it give phelgm? No, does going from snake to bear? No. What did that someone do to modify the base values of phelgem being 0.0 in ALL alchemy values to make it give 20-30 in all values.. Sure was not going up a tier in meat...

Edit: made one using garlic clove and bear meat. Phelgm was not 20-30 in all alchemy values. Not sure what meat is better than bear? Is turkey considered better? Maybe thats the meat that totally changes what item gives.

Its not random and everything gives exactly what it was intended to, you just haven't bothered to look at how it works. What the tool tip says it will give is the base which is modified by each variable ingredient(except any food and any fish).
Garlic Bulb does make food with BB or Blood give phlegm and garlic cloves and wild garlic are different.
Just because you can't be bothered to look up how the system works does not make it random or bull. The system is quite well understood and most(if not all) of the modifiers are known if you just look them up or ask.

Just because I don't know does not mean I have not bothered to try and find or figure it out. I can take criticism, and the occasional troll, but you have this arrogant attitude that just eats at me. If you know what you do then why have you not tried to put together something like this?

Don't bring your arrogance back into my thread and troll. If you have something to add, then add it. If something is wrong point it out. There is absolutely no need for you to drag out something simple into a paragraph of arrogance at how you think I am lazy and ignorant.

Now, after that is settled, I for one think you are the lazy and selfish one. Share your information like a true man, no need to be a **** head about it. Or you can not share it at all. This is about the 3rd time you have made a stab at me, so you might as well give up.

All I am trying to do is put together something that is scattered about. Throw me some links, some information, no need to badger me about how I play MY game. I do understand most of the people who play this game are arrogant self consumed know it all's, that could not fathom the remote possibility of just letting other people play how they want.

Sorry if I seem arrogant it just seems that many of the newer players want to criticize mechanics that they have not bothered researching and and they could easily find out about with a quick search.
This is the intro thread on the subject:

I am working on getting a more accurate and complete set of the modifier put together but I have not had the time to get everything organized.

Look at my join date ----> WAY before you..

Thank you for your effort. I shall add that in somewhere once you get it straightened up.

I know your join date is way before me that has no baring on my previous statement, but I suppose I should have said that lately it seems that whenever a player, new, old, or returning, runs into a mechanic that they don't immediately understand they just complain that its random or **** or whatever, rather then researching it or even just asking about it. Since you are not the only one that seems to be having difficulty finding the information on cooking I will try to get my notes put together and post a guide as soon as I get a chance.

Yeah, I looked for something like that thread you posted, that gives some values of meals, like an actual cook book. I think in time we will need to put such a thing together eventually anyways. But there are so many possibilities that can change food it is a daunting task to say the least.

I just took an example just now from one of the posts saying Sugar Caps in mushroom pie is good Blood food. What about 1 Sugar Cap and 1 Wax or Waining, or something different.. Just so many options and multipliers to figure out. Even then its best guess.

But at any rate, this will enhance the game play and help.
