Notice how all of the "rebellions" died off at about the same time and the drama pretty much became one sided at a certain point? I state this for the people that think PvP/permadeath/the chief/etc killed the game. If you don't believe me, do a bit of a history search here and see when it started and correlate it with an update or so.

If it was only the Purity Nerf, that would mean that if they went back to the old purity system everybody would come back. I don't know if that would happen. Honestly, I wouldn't mind it at this point. At least it would make us all on an even footing. It would mean that the Titan's could finally pass 1000 probably tho.
If they did go back to the old system do you think the population would rise?

Too many people like to set up their own mental barriers and come up with excuses about why they can't play better or try harder.
MagicManICT wrote:I somewhat agree with you on that. It's not just the purity nerf. It was several things, but that's what broke it. People still wouldn't come back because of the other issues.
Don't get me wrong. I think it needed to be done as that was entirely too broad a range from total noob to maxed possible stats. It should have been fixed long before or saved for a wold reset (but at that point, the store was live and there didn't appear to be a wipe coming ever again unless there was a critical bug and it couldn't be avoided).

You're making excuses for your own laziness and incompetence. Success comes from hard work, teamwork, and ingenuity. I'm going to go out on a limb and say you've never done the following:
-Tracked a single scent to a base over two hours away
-Organized a group of nine players, and kept them motivated and engaged for a ten hour raid
-Taken shifts to lay in ambush of an enemy titan for over fifteen hours
-Taken shifts to guard a KO'd Brave for 24 hours until he returned home safely
-As part of a team, scoured the map to find the best available lime, water, and granite - until all four elements for each resource had been found
Ikpeip wrote:Instead you have:
-Blamed game mechanics for your failures
***** on the forums
-Reneged on your debts
-Declared a grandiose rebellion, but merely called for others to take action while cowering yourself
-Cried. A lot.
Ikpeip wrote:When the problem is a discrepancy in aptitude and commitment, trying to fix it through mechanic adjustments is just going to make the problem worse, as the higher-performing factions are just going to adapt more quickly than the general populace - who will then agitate for another mechanic adjustment.
The situation with each server being dominated by a single faction is a symptom of the low game population. If the population increases, you'll get more high-tier players. A dominant faction will be hard-pressed to stay in absolute power if there are several competing factions with quality players - even if these factions are half-strength individually.
Trying to balance game mechanics around the politics of playerbase with less than 200 active players at peak playtimes is foolish is not going to be very effective.

You did not address the points I made, and attempted to change the subject. You're doing this because you are unable to respond adequately to the points I made. Were I to respond to your subject-change, you'd change the subject again. Your goal is to keep doing this until I tire and stop responding, so you can claim victory by default.
