These days you don't have any competition and because of that you don't have any fear of leaving scents by killing noobs or anybody. You're safe behind your walls and know that you can defend against anybody trying to attack and summon you. There's no more competition and because of that the games not really perma-death anymore for you unless you make a massive mistake or fall into a trap like Darwoth set for the Queen. With no population and legacy hummus and worms in all the top players hands, there's very little competitive balance to the game anymore between players.

A fault of the players and not the game. I could make a brand new character on Jamestown TODAY and have the Treaty in effect and in force by the end of September. The fact that the status quo remains the same is due to the ignorance and ineptness of those who would see themselves as our "competition" not with the game itself. This is no different than somebody who buys a Porsche, crashes it into a tree, then claims that Porsche's are terrible cars. No car can accommodate for bad driving skill just as no game can accomodate for bad gaming skills.

True, most people don't want to compete, they want to learn the game and haven't been playing it a year. They play casually and aren't hardcore about it. Most just want to farm and build while still having to worry about the whole Perma death thing. I hope you get that I'm in favor of this game being Perma death. It adds a lot to the game play when you're worried about dying anytime you leave your walls. This game has a huge learning curve tho, and people don't get that it's easier once you learn everything about it. I guess what I'm saying is that I'm in favor of is a little bit of MMO morality, where top players help lower players instead of killing them and because of that the game grows.

I would leave the forums for a month if you were able to enforce the treaty on Jamestown without any help from, and against the wishes of Darwoth. This means that you would have to stand up to Darwoth and take him out. If he sides with you or just let's you do it, then bets off.

I've said it before, if you really wanted to master this game and win it all you wouldn't try and attack Roanoke with the Candy Gang, you'd go after Darwoth and try and make him pay your treaty.

I would be truly amazed if the Tribe and the Candy Gang combined for a fresh start on Jamestown and were able to take out Darwoth up there. I don't think you can do it by the end of September or by Christmas. Not without Darwoth secretly agreeing to it or giving the game up. Imagine the sweetness of those big Darwoth tears, Chief.

I'd be truly amazed if you stfu and did something yourself, instead of always trying to persuade others to do what you want.

He mentioned going to Jamestown first, not me. I just think it would be the biggest challenge he has now after effectively joining the Candy Gang on Roanoke.

...I can't do anything by myself. Thanks to you and Kit Kat I can no longer join a town because they would then be immediately threatened. Thanks to you, I don't know which bases you told them about so I basically have to start over from all of them. I can't attack Candy Island or the Candy Gang alone and it would take me months to even match some of their humours. So I can only try and build up some of the secret bases I have and hide behind braziers just like everybody else.

The only thing anybody can do is snipe at them like Darwoth and hope for the best. Unfortunately I don't have any throw away black skill characters like him yet, but I'm trying to raise some up.

Yeah, ignoring is an option you can peek through at any time.

Glad everyone agrees on the problem being a lack of (competent?) competition. (Don't look to me for competency. I'm just a hermit.) Notice how all of the "rebellions" died off at about the same time and the drama pretty much became one sided at a certain point? I state this for the people that think PvP/permadeath/the chief/etc killed the game. If you don't believe me, do a bit of a history search here and see when it started and correlate it with an update or so.
