No, you only see the initial stability, how much it'll advance is random. I've never had it advance more than three steps on one branch, but take that with a grain of salt because my observations are based on a fairly small sample.

1 Plank spashes anything lower than it? Including itself?
2. Split rail will not splash stone since its a lower tier wall?
3. but stone will splash split rail?

Multiple walls are still good, but they need to be staggered so that the next wall won't take damage when the wall outside of it is broken. Anything to slow down potential raiders more is good.

One does not simply start with 0% everything and build herself/himself up, sorry, but it's only possible to get up there with pre-update humus, which many people have already used up, but some do have alot stored.(But it is possible to still humour with 0% foods now)

You can find goods on the ground up to 10%. Feed those to your worms to get them to 10%. Use 10% lime/granite/clay to make 10% pots. Use 10% humus from 10% worms to make 10% trees. 10% is approx a 2.0 Multiplier.

So if you are willing to put in the work to grind replicatable 10% goods you can effectively humour twice as fast and as strong as everybody else.
