[Hiring] - Can I hire a builder on Plymouth?

Postby Zim » Wed Jul 17, 2013 8:13 pm

Greetings!

Let's say I wanted a great deal of things on my land that I do not have the proficiencies to build,
would it be possible for me to lay down a claim, expand it and pay someone to build my walls, torches and the like?

With that said, I am looking for such a person
and I'd also get in touch With a person willing to
fill me in on the Security of my Project - a person
I can throw questions and ideas at and have my
understandings confirmed or debunked.

Thanks
Zim!

You are looking for Tribal Consultation Services. Unfortunately, you would have to pay the Treaty to retain such services. Luckily, without paying the Treaty anything you would have built would have been destroyed anyway so it is a bit of a win-win. Contact the Paymaster to arrange payment options and Tribal Consulation. As for the manual labor of construction it can be done but it is certainly not cheap.

Make sure you put locks on your own gates, or they will keep a key so that they can comeback later and steal all of your stuff, and its likely that when you lead them to your base to start building they will just kill you and take your stuff.
Also read about how the Tribe acts and what they require of you, if you like the way they run things start paying them their 'protection' fees, if you don't change servers(I would suggest Jamestown if you just want freedom).
One final statement: Torches are a wast of resources and wont keep anyone out.

This is all assuming you DO NOT pay the Treaty. Should you pay the Treaty then you will be on the safest server and quite honestly wouldn't even need walls. Nobody on Plymouth commits crimes. But those who don't pay the Treaty almost always lose their base.

I assume from your previous post he has not payed the Treaty which is why I told him to read about the Tribe and if he likes what you do then to start paying, and if he doesn't then to find a server that is a better fit for him. The rest of the advice was just general good advice and you never know when someone on Plymouth will get tired of living under Tribe rule and kill a few people and raid some bases just have some fun on their way out. Also with no walls anyone can raid you with an low level alt and not give a **** when the Tribe kills it.

Low level alt would still need Larceny, Tresspassing, and Waste. The majority of Plymouth does not use walls. There is no point as there is little worth stealing that would be worth the 100's of proficiencies required to commit those crimes.

i have seen at least two claims without any fence walking around Plymouth, i think there were a couple of braziers, but no fences.
i like it. gives a good impressions that law and order rules the server of Plymouth, as long as rules are followed :)
