What if your homestead has locked gates? How do you attune keys to your new character?

You just use the master keys stored on an alt for safekeeping.

If you don't have the masters on an alt you now have learned a valueable lesson. The only option left may be to destroy the gates. Or wait for natural decay.

I have a set of master keys on the alt was just never sure how they would attune. It sounds like they auto attune via this inheritance feature.

I'm sorry,but there are no rules as the ones you mentioned officially written and they sure as hell weren't told to me... I don't know why you people think you own the server, what the hell... I don't need explanation to why i died, i didn't break any rules at all and I'm going to wear my mask that i just bought anytime i want unless someone asks nicely like Embryana did... I came into the town now knowing of this so called "rule" wearing a mask, took it off as i was asked and i got a duel challenge, so being a nice guy,i accepted... You broke the rules. The rules are very clearly posted on the HoB. As a result you no longer have a character.

Yes,i got too far, i just intended to ask for the inheritance mechanics and i got stuck here a bit out of adrenalin. I am sorry, this will be the end of the discussion,once again, thanks to the guy who gave me the answer i was looking for!

Just for the record... I don't even play on your server... I haven't been able to play much at all lately... but.. I was aware of the Sunday Mask Rule.. An homage to YGM set forth upon her departure, I believe.. Politics is a big part of this game.. and the politics happens here on the forums... If you play Salem and disregard the forums... you do so at your own risk.. Ignorance of the law is no excuse.... Just sayin..
