The Reality That Salem Brings To Light

Postby legos4u » Fri Jul 05, 2013 10:52 pm

Its disappointing how this game can so easily represent people now a days. With the candy gang we have your typical pseudo justice where there are criminals running the means of justice. Then we get to hear from the people of how bad the candy gang is with this and that yet fail to do anything about it. You know most of the times when I play a game its to gain a different perspective. With Salem its a reminder of just how foolish we truly are sometimes. We let people like the candy gang bring their "justice" at the cost of our security. The very thing they used to get into power with. It seems to remind me of the current government that this game was based off of. This is not another rage jab that are the majority of complaints directed to the candy gang. I'm just thinking of how this only promotes the real life problem. So I ask for an open mind. From the makers of Salem and to the players of Salem. I think its time we had a change in how things work in Salem and management.

So you mention the candy gang 4 times in your post, and post it in the political subforum, and yet you deny that it is a jab or rage thread about the candy gang.

Right.

Meh.

If you don't like a political element of this game, get a couple friends together and change it. Post screenshots.

If you don't like how those in power act, then remove them from power.

Since this isn't about in-game politics as such, I'm moving this to CuaH

Right.

Yea I do. Its an observation that I compared with the American government. I frankly don't care about the candy gang I was using them as an example. I don't want this to be a thread where people complain about the candy gang. I want it help start making people organize instead of having a "woe is me mentality". Or for the optimist just to convince the candy's to stop raiding.

I like that you have done anti-criminal action but looting off of the innocent? I don't know. Wanted to see what your salem experience happened as apposed to new players.
