I meant no insult to your game. I will ask in the appropriate forum.. (I was thinking if it was a hardware issue with Haven, I guess some players would chip in so the devs could get new server and whatnot.)
Edit spelling

how come all the Salem fanboiz turned into Haven fanboys ? Weren't you guys praising Salem a long time ago ?
This is not a contest which game has more players, and Salem should be winning the race, no matter what.
Haven might be 'more complete', but it's unstable, ugly, old, lag all the time and much more...
Salem is still under 'heavy development' and incomplete, but it's (more) stable, less ugly, newer, has an active combat system!!!, is 'self sustaining', makes more sense,....
Just because you didn't achieve anything in Salem, doesn't automatically makes it a bad game.
It still needs a lot of work, but it will pay off in the end, and I'll be happy to see you guys return and bash onto HnH!!

Dont take it wrong, I think most people who still post here do care about Salem, its not like they liked it when HnH was unplayable and now started hating it. I think I only saw a real Salem-hate on the HnH forums, from the players who never really participated in the Salem forums and mostly played the game for a few weeks just to realise they dont like it.
No, its not a contest, Id really LOVE to see both games highly populated, but the numbers say something too, Haven attracts and really keeps a lot of players, while Salems numbers have been constantly, dramatically dropping. I jumped into Salem within the first batch of beta keys back in April last year [23rd of April, you needed to do some referals before the beta started to get in during that period]. For the first few days we had about what, 1000 people playing at any given time? I believe most people just messed a little, got killed or bored and quit. From ~1000 we were down to about 300 in just a few weeks if I remember correctly. Later there were some occasional key giveaways, but every time, after the new players arrived, they quit shortly after. There was a time when there were only 10-30 people online. It got a little better after the wipe in August, but still, theres forever been the dropping tendency.
Both games have a lot of potential, perhaps HnH is doing way better because of the "almost fully" [if we can call it that] developed quality, great mining system opposite to Salem's boring walking simulator, siege system that requires way more effort [again, not saying that Salems one doesnt require a lot of effort, because it does, Havens just requires even more - camping a ram for 24 hours instead of just placing a Waste Claim without a need to look after it] and, this will be an opinion only though - much better combat.
Haven may be ugly, but if youre playing Salem than I dont think the graphics do mean a lot to you, so I dont really understand such arguments. I also dont really get why you would use being "newer" as an argument, does it matter? The "self sustaining" part might be correct, but then again, we dont know how much Salem makes and HnH has a donation system too. Besides, Jorbtar are not the people who would make the game for money, and you should know that by now.
Perhaps youre under the wrong assumption that everyone wants to achieve the same thing [be it power/reign or whatever else]. I myself think that everyone considers different things as his achievements, may it be even starting a farm. And everyone achieved something, by just starting and playing for a few days/weeks or months.
I dont doubt that working on Salem will pay off in the end, but so will working on Haven.
I believe that eventually youd like to see some fresh blood here instead of those who are gone and are playing Haven now, for the obvious reasons.![]()

As for the "this is not HnH forum" part, well, occasionally, Salem related threads appear on the HnH forums too and noone rages like that.In the end, both games come from the same development team and perhaps the best you can do is just not read them if you dont want to.

I dont doubt it may hurt your eyes, but the Salems forests ground was, or maybe still is like that too. One thing I noticed about the graphics way back in time is that Haven might be a little brighter, "green'ish", which kinda adds a bit of the cheerful atmosphere, while Salem is kinda gloomy. Its not really noticeable, but it just happened it really kicked me when I was already playing Salem for quite a while and suddenly logged into Haven.

Are they through the site themselves? I used to get ads geared to my search history all the time on sites like that. Doesn't do much good for new people who have yet to look up Slaem.
