Yeah I know, but as the saying goes, "Better late then never" or, "Fashionably late". However point is, it was one of those things that just needed to be said no matter how late it is. Well...I guess if the world end and a guy finally confesses his love to a girl (long gone), then I suppose that would be...a little bit late, but hey we still here, and game still up and running. :D

Man the couldn't read your post because all i was thinking about was playing all the shining force games again thanks to your avatar.

Glad to see another Shining Force Fan :D I don't care for the Neo and EXA, but the Originals on the Sega Genesis (I and II) are top notch

Plymouth is lost. All those that were interested in fighting the tribe have since quit Salem...atleast I don't think any of them are still playing on Plymouth.

First off, welcome to Salem. I hope you are playing on Plymouth :D

I found your post pretty entertaining. It's always funny to hear a new player's thoughts on server politics, especially when they are based solely on the drivel in HoB forum.

It wasn't based on HoB as a whole...it was based on one thread, and a couple of links referencing other threads.

A fresh voice, another large guild master from other games has arrived.

Pre-apologize for the wall, but I'm too excited.

Sky_Cardis wrote:Truth be told, I am new to THIS game. I have seen this game at MMOHUT.com searching for a new game, and saw this, and decided to take a look. So here I am, deciding, debating, pondering...if this is a game I should join or not. Still thinking about it.

환영 (trans. welcome in Korean)

If you need anything, I mean anything to get started I will give it to you on Roanoke. Anywhere else feel free to PM me for info, maps, help, whatever you need. If you're on Plymouth the most I can physically give you is a pair of Christmas Stockings as a welcome to Salem present.

I'm glad to see that game site reviews might be working. Anybody who would like to help Salem out go to MMOHUT.com (a great site) and vote your stars to help the game (Salem's way too under rated on that site). Leave a comment to help people looking for a game.

We may have hopefully just seen the end of the dark beginning of Salem, and the arrival of the beginning of a Renaissance, but maybe I'm getting ahead of myself. :D

Don't worry if you're not posting with your main. I think the rule is that you just need to use one account for the forums and that you can change your name if you state it to the mods so they don't warn you for sock-puppeting.

I appreciate the positive feedback on my post. It is quite nice to see so many fully reading it and not "jumping the gun" on the 1st part (which was partly a test).
Also I do like making a flashy first appearances once and awhile, especially the "Who the hell is this guy?"(*A NEW CHALLENGER!) kind.

Also apologizes to others for SLIGHTLY derailing the topic at hand to the thread.

I just met you and I already want you as a mod on this game. :D

The party has really just begun hopefully.

We just went to Open-Beta in March, Roanoke and Jamestown have only been active since, what, last October? and Plymouth since last August. Many of these people have been on for months and several from Alpha, but it's still a fresh new world out here with gigantic open spaces and honestly nobody truly dominates the entirety of any server, they just say they do. There are several big new towns that have grown since Open-Beta that don't really play the forum game, so although it may seem like the same people arguing back and forth there are new large players on some of the servers.

I'm hoping that eventually we view this last year as "The before time" a sort of proto-Salem before real towns and groups of large players moved here. It'll be seen as a time of beginnings but when real Large player guild towns and cities had yet to be built.

Again, welcome to Salem, enjoy the game, it has a huge learning curve and a slow start to mastery, but it's potential and depth are boundless.

..............oh, and

I think the question on everybody's mind is.... Will you be paying the Treaty?

I'm not the the type to play the oppressed, but the victor.

You see, the problem with rebels (for the most part) is all talk talk talk...bash bash bah...no real action.
Apparently trying to "gather" people to joining their side isn't working to well compared to making people not sign a treaty.

Lets say I was deciding to be this so called "rebel". The idea of attacking peace treaty people is sought of a form of terrorism. Yes, it IS terrorism, if people don't take your side, remove them as an obstacle. After all that is what you do. They don't sign you raid/kill. So what is to prevent someone that DOESN'T care how the supporters on the other side feel; knows about whats been going, and of course, love taking down people to show how inferior they truly are in the grand scheme of things. Wouldn't it show that the this peace treaty doesn't protect them like it says it should? How bad would it be to show your supporters that your treaty doesn't ACTUALLY protect them others outside of the treaty?

If I like the game enough, Shining Force members will be glad to come here and take you down a peg...permanently if its needed (I do love a good purging. Your call "Chief". Like I said, I took people like you down before when I joined games in late, the first mistake is thinking I will be the typical player (in this case rebel) with empty promises, you shall soon learn that is not the case. I actually enjoyed the idea of "Peace Treaty" but, only if it was a peace treaty, and your whole tribes weren't *looks for a none offensive words*...Hmmm ah yes "uncaring, uncivilized, and over all *****" about your treaty.
Yeah yeah, people will die, I may die a few times, and you try your try hard trolling showing picks of such things, but I noticed a lot of these were tribe made (yeah I know some were, I cannot be fooled), you are gone for awhile come back and look all of a sudden some new hit houses, no one that claimed these houses. You see your FEAR tactic will not work on I.

Hell I may not even bring my members into this, and use what is here the people already here as my new recruits, the rebels who actually WANT to do something. Like I said if you lose power chaos runs rapid, but not if a superior group maintains control once you are gone. But then again, a game is all about freedom, that is why there were pilgrims, I think its the players fate to decide what they want for them.

So here is an offer, back off or else, it is your call "Chief", I personally am sick of all this rebel talk and nothing getting done by the rebels. The issue is they HAVE NO LEADERSHIP, just a bunch of people pissed of that won't organize well enough. Yeah I read about the "siege" and I can at least give them credit for holding off a siege, but who is the LEADER keeping them organized? That is what I am curious about.

Your mother smells of week-old kitty-litter and your father was a bucket of bolts.

If you were truly as observant as you claim to be you would have noticed that you are not the first to come to these forums proclaiming "leadership" being the missing piece of this puzzle. Unfortunately, you will quickly realize that domination in Salem is a matter of will-power, dedication, and commitment. Something that you have already failed to display given your inability to even fire up a client and your willingness to WALL-O-TEXT my thread before even making a character.

My one piece of advice to you should you debark on a path that will most certainly flood with your tears is create a new name. The criminals of this server who fail to pay the Treaty are tired of "rebellions" and fed up with throwing their hard earned resources and support at an organization that was more corrupt than the Tribe and Treaty could ever dream to be. Name your uprising "The Force" or some other 1990's SEGA game that was your last claim to fame. I, however, will call you Domingo
