Argopelters give no beak ?

i just killed 3 argopelters in a row and I got no beak form any of them. I skin them normal, but after I press butcher they just disappear and give nothing. Is this normal ? I only started killing argopelters yesterday, and all of them gave both skin and beaks.

Yeeeeeeees, if you skin them there is an approx 50% chance the agropelter will be despawning after you've got the skin, no beak then but a skin.

However if you butcher them 1st there is a 100% on a beak but 0% on a skin, I used to have plenty beaks compared to the skins due the 2:1 ratio of the trophy.
