Best way to find Woodlands

I have been wandering around for a while now and I have yet to see any wooodland biomes. I've had forests and grasslands galore, but I cannot seem to find a woodland biome.

if you keep wandering you'll find woodlands eventually. they're less common than forests and grasslands so they're harder to find. you could also try to use the world map to find the nearest woodland.

In-game it's a matter of looking at the ground, right>

When looking at the Jamestown map south west of the main town bordering the lake is fey lands that brownie colour and left of that is conifer the darker forest(deer's bears a plenty etc)

You mean forest terrain? I can easily spot forest terrain even on the world map because of the coloration. It's harder to spot woodlands terrain.
