Key and Camera Questions

Postby Tjotjog » Mon May 27, 2013 9:28 pm

I don't know if these are dumb questions or not, but those seem to be the kind I specialize in.

1. If I make a key to a gate, for example, I assume I need to keep it in my inventory so I can unlock it when I need it? What happens if I get knocked out and my inventory gets cleaned out. How can I open the gate then?

2. I play on a laptop, so there is no middle mouse wheel. I can't get the camera to change vantage points, except once in a while by accident. Am I missing a trick here?

yes you do need to keep it on you at all times.
Note that there is a keyring you can craft (same menu as the keys/locks) which will hold 8 keys. Keys held here will not drop upon death (but can be stolen by other people). It's always a good idea to keep a master copy of all your keys on an alt in boston. Remember that you can only use keys attuned to you.

I am not aware of any trick here, but then again I find playing with the trackpad too hard so always just plug in a mouse. I have heard other people complain about this as well, though.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.
