A bit more effort and you'll catch it :) Fishing

catfish, bullheads and halibut are really hard to find. I think they require a fishing pole and either a stick spinner or shark bait.

how/what did you catch halibut with. I noticed you mentioned you caught every type except those 2 mentioned?

used stick lure like the wiki said but shark bait works also.

just a few tips

if u do catch one ur chances of catching another one in the same spot is high so let the lure go

also seaweed lure dosnt really work on rivers i tried almost everytime it breaks with out catching anything

shark bait catches
almost every sea fish
ghost fish and hopefully bullheads havent found a spot tho

seaweed lure catches most of the sea fish

the 2 basic ones cricket moth and sink not catches basic but really high chance on tiger trout in the dark parts of rivers

stick lure catches lake pike ghost fish and the basic ones no luck on catfish or bullheads
hailbit but really rare

this is how i map a fishing spot

X = weak fish e z catch
O = kinda rare but common
Z = rare

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
XXXXXXXXXOXXXXXXXXXX
XXXXXXXOOOOOXXXXXXX
XXXXOOOOZZOOOOXXXX
XXXXXXXOOOOOXXXXXXX
XXXXXXXXXOXXXXXXXXXX
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

hopefully that helps u out when deep sea fishing and lake fishing

rivers is kinda complex and u need to find a pretty big river to fish for big game fish havent found one yet but i might try another spot later on

jellyfish are 100% random and there really hard to catch bc u can only use 2 options havnt figured out which ones they are yet bc everytime i have it i lose it before even know, also u can catch them with anybait just really rare

also to notic wiki is kinda wrong about the point system

Points
-2
-1
0
1
2

u need 4-5 points to catch the fish and almost everyfish

best fish to catch so far is the 2 common ones the rest is just a game

buddies on a branch is by far the best food u could ever eat in the game atm bc its totaly useless in gluttony mode and gives high values making it the perfect all around food only problem is u miss out on loads of scales and bones and other nice stuff

tiger is by far the secon best almost giving better stats then the buddies on a branch but most space is needed cook when needed also super e z to catch with cricket moths if ur stats are high enough u could catch 10 fish with one lure and use upt to 5 lures on one pole

but if ur fishing for gluttony its not worth it

some pro tips

compost bins make awsome worm storage
digging for worms to hard for u put on forging and watch the fireworks
make sure u collect all the tinder from crafting the spears it works awsome for ur farm and also for study reset

catching fish if ur good could make money and scales sale nicly too

hope this helps
