Ridges and Animal Pathing / AI

Postby the_pilgrim » Mon May 20, 2013 4:30 pm

Need a few clarifications:
1. Can animals like bears and snakes climb up and down ridges and cliffs? If so, do the ridges slow them down or do they only slow down players?
2. Can water stop animals like in HnH? Can you hunt them with a ranged weapon from water?
3. Can animals follow you inside houses or mines?

Thanks in advance!

1. They can't climb, but bears can attack from distance with their roar
2. Snakes are stopped by shallow water. Other animals are stopped by deep water
3. They can't

Snakes can climb up ridges. At least the ones you can climb without a rope. It got me knocked out once.

Thanks for the responses! One more question: Upon aggro, when does the animal stop chasing you and leave combat? Is it a distance or a time thing?

It's based on distance.
