They clearly don't give a **** about their beta tester's input, they'll continue to do what ever regardless of what anybody says. It just shows how little they care about their user base and pretty much demonstrates a "***** the customers, I don't care about them" type of mentality that will never get anybody anywhere in business.
If you're trying to sell a product, you'd want to tailor it to the needs of the consumer. But the devs will continue to be stubborn and ignore everybody. It's no wonder why this game has never had more users than wurm online.
It is not so simple as you make it out. The key is need, as opposed to want. Simply bending to what the "customers" /think/ they need is a recipe for failure. In the MMO space, the customer is almost always wrong. At the same time, it is also a frequent pitfall (and one quite possibly at play with Salem) for the developer to lose touch with the player's perspective. Here, again, however, this is very much oversimplified. There is no "one" player profile for Salem, and therein, no one perspective. Whether they have any ability to sift through the variety of feedback they receive on these forums and elsewhere to glean meaningful, helpful feedback on the state of their game, its successes and failings with sufficient acuity to be able to retain the good and rectify the bad is unclear. Certainly, so far, they do not appear to have done a particularly adept job.
What is clear is that you are very frustrated and upset

. You should try relaxing more. Maybe some tea? Calming walks. Or playing a game to relax. Something soothing, slow-paced... less competitive and cut throat when compared to something like, say, BF3 or LoL. Like a crafting MMO. I've heard good things about this game called Salem...
