question with plant

hey im new and i want to plant (badly)
i have got 4 seeds of pumpkin and i put 5 humurs on my farm and there is the question can i plant 4 seeds? or i need more to make it?

Since this will be the first planting on the field, you need 50 seeds. You can bring down the upkeep to 50% after planting using wood chippings, so you only need 25 seeds the next time you plant.

ok i got this, i have pot and i pot in it 3 humur then 1 L water now i want plant a autumn grass i try left click on gras then right click on pot it wont be planted i tried other plantables still same whats wrong?
