Cannot open the gate

Postby niko8 » Sun May 12, 2013 3:24 am

Hi,

I have a problem with my stone wall gate. I locked the gate and everything functioned well until my friend tried to open this gate. He could not open it even with my original key. And now I don't know what to do. I wonder if it requires additionally any skill to open the gate. My friend has leaned locksmithing skill but he still cannot open the gate. Please advice!

you have to make another key(preferably slave, hold your master keys on alt to not lose them) and "attach" them to him. You do it by picking key and right click on your friend(it will change colour, for you it will be red, he will get it green).

Did you give your friend permissions to walk/steal/destroy things on your claim? Maybe the problem is, that he isn't allowed to walk on your claim.

did you attune the key to your friend like wiatrak said ?

hold your master in your inventory as well as a stone. then craft a slave key.
pick up the slave key with your cursor and right click on your friend. the key "text" will turn from green to red stating that the key now belongs to your friend.
