Do you not have room in your inventory (open with <Tab> or ctrl+I) to place it and drop something else?

You either need to wait until the next server reset (probably next thursday, with the update), or send a PM on this forum to Loftar to manually fix your char. (or Jorb, but since Loftar is the code wizard, he's probably the one that needs to do it)

EDIT: What I don't understand.... There has been an update since your problem was created. Did the server restart not make you drop the purse from your cursor? I guess then the drop your cash protection extends even to server resets. The only thing that can fix your char is a hand from the devs then.

EDIT: another option would be to walk up to the nearest raider base and scream profanities when they log on. That't probably make you lose the wallet as well
