Completely lost

Postby loris » Thu May 09, 2013 9:52 am

Hi all,
i just started to play this game and I feel completely lost. I've tried to follow the tutorial and read the sevenless guide, but it looks like arab to me. Maybe because I've never player H&H or because my english is not good enought. Is possible to play Salem without any idea of what H&H was?
I followed the tutorial, now I'm in an empty area, wandering and picking stuff, but I can't get the point. I tried to study skills, I have survival skill, but I can't do anything with that. I crafted and studied few rock maraquas and mapel mustahce, but I can't get any other skill. I crafted also an axe, but I can't use it.

I feel I'm missing something on the base. Is there a more beginner guide than the sevenless one or maybe one with simpler english?

Thank you
loris

Try to find / make some other inspirationals. Look in your ctrl-T screen which skills you can learn, and what proficiencies they need.
Protip: search hollow treestumps. Not the hollow tree logs, only the stumps. Those spawn items.

Try checking the wiki for every skill you can still learn, to know what they'll unlock for you to craft, and then work towards getting your proficiencies to the levels you need to learn them. http://salemwiki.info/index.php/Skills http://salemwiki.info/index.php/Proficiencies

It might help if you said what exactly you don't understand in sevenless' guide. Then we would be able to change it and make it easier to understand.
As it stands now, there is no better guide than sevenless' one.
