If someone were to aggro a bear, lure it inside walls and lock the door, would it try to destroy the walls to get out?

I don't think so. I've never tried that, but bears that have agroed me outside a wall never tried to break in.

Well both bears and snakes have been nerfed. The damn bear just walks around not aggroing even if I touch it. The snakes run away. I know there was a nerf a while ago, but I cant remember it said bears wont aggro unless aggroed..

It is quite random. Some snakes aggro right away, some run away. Same thing with bears. I noticed that bears did aggro more often before, but maybe it is connected to player stats (stronger char -> animals tend to run away) ?

Alright, last question. What if I made an alt and logged out on a town claim (to keep the character's physical form there) next to caged animals. Would the logged out alt keep the animals from despawning, or would the alt have to be online?

I think you are correct. I just tested it with a rabbit, and it isn't trying to break through the wall. It's just sitting there.
