Darkness Western Border

Postby mykey400 » Tue Apr 23, 2013 11:17 pm

I came back to this game after a break and decided to explore the darkness because i finally have decent humors but as i walked west i hit a wall. The problem is that it is not really that far from the normal land, there is no humor drain or even an actual darkness. Is this normal? Is the darkness really 10 feet away from normal land? Or is there trick to it? Do i need better humors?

The darkness has a circular border. The server map is a rectangle and might not go so far West. Whichever server you are on may start the darkness after the edge of that part of the western border.

and the darkness itself is tricky, I've gotten that initial warning "you are in the darkness" and whatnot when there was no humor drain. some areas of darkness are going to be such a mild drain you might not even notice that you are in it. I wish there was something on the minimap or a buff icon

Hit ctrl + d. Should give you some numbers. I dont remember the interpertation of the numbers, but it says something about the level of darknes. So when you enter the darkness that number will start to move.

I can never ever ever make sense of those numbers, they were the same no matter where I moved. its something about the angle of the sun in your position and what position jorbs foot is in divided by the amount I hated mathclass.

The lower the number after b: , the darker the darkness, supposedly.

You have to look at Elevation number. If it is lower than 56 - you are in darkness. The lower it gets the bigger the drain.

Just a note, somewhere around 54-56 elevation you are in 'darkness' but the drain doesn't start yet.
