I do have one on Jamestown to.

Soo it still cannot be fished lol
No Cthulhu mask for anyone! :(

No, it must be fishable but i guess the change on it is around 0.001 ->.

Well, it might be fishable, i know its easy to get hellish halibat quite easily but its expensive in materials, about 300-500s each, IF you know extaclly what your doing when fishing.

The Squid could quite well be "easy" once the location, and meterials / rod / bait type is worked out, as well as having high F&W, who knows. Just a matter of time. Like Hellish halibat, costs way too much to be made worth it, takes like 3 days to dry one of the fish also, for very low consumption amounts. Have Gutted close to 100 of them in our time and only ever got scales etc. Was fun spending 50k silver and a few hours to test Totalymoo's old troll Signature.

Sad times.

I really hope they redo fishing in a big way. This is the one MMO i haven't spent countless hours fishing away.

Amen! Really, the main problem is that there are no real benefits to fishing. Once you get good at it it's a breeze but since there are only a limited number of inspirationals from it and no really good food it's not worth it.
Maybe some new uses for swim bladders or elusive last bones once all this purity turmoil gets sorted out.

What they need to do is make fishing AND hunting more worthwhile. The food is terrible past a certain point and the inspirationals are trash

with current alchemy values you can get certain fish-recipes to give 100 blood, it eats too slow though, and the values don't give a high enough % chance to be reliable :?

I would REALLY like to see fishing become its own industry in this game. It's something that I've really enjoyed in almost all other games that I've played.
Metalwork, hidework, fishing, a lumber industry, alchemy and animal husbandry seems like it'd be a fairly rounded set of industries for us to choose from and to focus on

Well, in haven fishing is basic as ***** and yet you could still get fairly decent starting stats on a new character with it. Day 1 you can get to 50ish INT for studies and that is actually very good for starting out.
Here it's more of a "collect all of the fish types for lols and then never fish again"
