However, I'm under no illusion that these arguments were taken seriously by the Powers That Be - understandably, no one wants to take counsel from the Bad Guy.

If you wish to point out my behaviors which you think invalidate (or at least undermine) my arguments, I'll be happy to discuss them, but I'll need something more specific. This is an offer made in good faith. I've got no problems having an honest and frank discussion on this if everyone behaves, but that seems naïve to hope for.

The heart of the problem is that the developers are too easily seduced by flattery and praise - the small group they take advice and feedback from are the same people they're showering with gifts. An analysis backed up by numbers and figures never plays into the adjustments made (which is what leads to occurrences of changes not working out as the Devs expected being so commonplace). This is not the best way to get true information about your systems and determine what is broken and how to fix it. There's a better way. I've thought about writing up my thoughts on this, but I don't think the Salem forums needs another wall of boring text from Paymaster Paul.

qft. The so called rebellion has been dead for several weeks now. Though, to be fair, it never really did anything in the first place, other than get some extra silver and loot into the pockets of it's leaders donated by those foolish enough to believe something would come of it. Such a disappointment. I was cheering for you.

Dallane, you look like a fool. You claim the tribe's behaviors are wrong for getting the devs to listen, but you can't even make a coherent response when asked politely what you mean. It doesn't really matter anyway, the reason the devs don't listen to the tribe is pretty clear. The devs want yes-men like Coles and other HnH vets who shower them with praise and then beg for gifts, rather than people who honestly try to give constructive criticism. Just look at the devs' response to replies to the announcements threads and that becomes pretty clear.

The rebellion wasn't even gonna do anything in the first place, I predicted to myself. Tribe is too well organized to be brought down by some damn slackers that haven't even tried to kill some Braves in my consideration, nor I haven't even seen them tried to kill even one.
