it's fine for there to be no gate, the trees only need to fill in areas i don't need to get out from. there will be walls with gates in other places. i just want to know how many trees minimum i should plant to make up for a stone wall please?

Make it as deep as you have time to keep trees growing.
About the braziers: the curve for braziers approaches the damage of 15 if I recall correctly. However, to get close to this value, you'll need several dozen braziers firing on a target at once.

So I just placed my first Blazer and placed some coal in it. From my understanding it should light on its own and "attack" badguys when they do bad stuff. I also read that the damage they deal is actually lowered when there are other blazers around. So whats the optimal placement of blazers?
Next is, should I extend my claim to one square beyond my fence line? My thinking is that they will have to be on my property to be destroying my stuff (fence) so there black bile will drain while they are beating on the fence, or will it already drain because the thing they are attacking is on my claim even tho they are not?
How do houses and mines work as far as claims go? will a house/mine on my claim still affect badguys once they go inside the house/mine? Are houses a bad idea defense wise because it gets them away from the blazers outside?
I dont expect any one will be rainding my place.
