Turkeys dont lay eggs

Postby Darkside » Fri May 03, 2013 1:12 pm

I am a beginner turkey farmer so don't have much experience with them, but I got a coop, hunted for some wild turkeys to start it with and had a gobbler and 4 hens. One hen laid an egg, then another one after the first egg hatched and then a third one... but then it all stopped. Its been voer 24 hours now without any new eggs. Feed meter is at just over halfway - the gobbler is still there, the hens all have one empty inventory slot directly below them - there is no poop in the coop....

what could be going on?

If you're on Roanoke, there was a pretty long server crash yesterday, so that's take off some hours of progress. It can take a while for them to lay an egg. Just have a bit more patience. If by tomorrow there isn't any egg or poop, then it would seem bugged.
Did Claeyt shut up yet?

Feed your Turkeys some meat and I bet they will lay eggs again. Also be sure there are 2 rows below the hens. One for poop and one for the eggs.

Still no eggs today...

They just eat and poop. That is all. And just to be clear, I do not pick them up ever as I am sure that would reset egg laying timer.

Thats really odd. Are the slots under them empty?

That seemed to do it, I removed everyone from the coop, then put them back in... and now an egg has appeared!

PRAS!
