Currently, if you wander into an abandoned copper mine (which I have created 3) you will not be able to determine whether you are mining Iron or Copper until you smelt it. I am also concerned about keeping my inventory straight.
Any thoughts?

I use the Ender client and now iron and copper nodes show up as orange triangles and are properly identified. When I chip rock on the ore boulder, the ore is identified as 13% ore, I do not have to smelt it to get a percentage reading. My Copper mine is up and running and the mine roof is properly shored up to prevent cave-in.
