It is possible to hunt them down, they can sell you ''stolen good'' they can track these easy, option 2 is to follow from Boston, they get your direction aswell.

Next time kill them in your mine or house, the scents in this picture looked like you had a fight and killed someone
Unfortunately, I do not own the power to see what happened on the crime-scene, all I see is scents which lead to a base 3 min further (maybe a simple sign saying 'i murdered my alts' should help next time)
