planing boards

I just tried to plane 6 dry boards, and all of them turned to choppings .... am I missing something ?

The failure rate seems a bit high, no ?

Depends on your Nail and Hammer skill. It starts at around 30% success rate. I myself at 60 N&H got it at around 50%.

there is a LOT of randomness involved, though. I can plane a full invent and only lose 1 dry board, and then the next invent i'll lose 6. But yes, especially for low H&N (below 100), failure chances are pretty steep.

well, i was still at 33 Hammer, and i would say the sucess was more in the 15% than 30%

having 140 H&N gives me around 11/16 planed boards.
