The wiki doesn't store the map. There's a link to the map host for player's convenience.

this would be best... maybe wait a little while before releasing it tho... but i really think the world map should be RAW.

+1 but only light areas, darkness should be hidden.

naw, that'd just ruin the idea of exploring a new land. Work together with friends to scout, rather than be able to see the best places to settle right off the bat. Granted, with purity nodes implemented it's a bit harder than before to pick the right spot, but it's still an unnecessary shortcut to finding the biome you want.

ooo yah...
light areas only is a good idea... leave darkness to be explored by people that like to uncover new areas. :)

assuming i don't know how exactly works pics editing, i've some ideas how to do that ;)

for mapping use that:
http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?605616-Map-tool-for-Ender-s-client

on client:
viewtopic.php?f=11&t=50

the mapping program often block when i get over 2000 tiles... so i'll try to make squares of 50x40 tiles and then add them in pics "of interest" like "mountains", "woodlands" and "lakes"
all split up ^^ (cuz i've very cheap PC)
then i'll colour the common areas (assuming in a autumnal forest minimap tile there is the same 3 colours in the red part, other 3 colours for the green and so on) with what i want just to make borders... matter
