The legal form you speak of is simply a heritable right to lease, farm and live on otherwise Royal lands. It is a privilege, not an imposition, and tenant farming != serfdom. Tenant farming and the inability to buy and sell land were the more important aspects of this system that you should have taken away from it ...But yes, Sweden got rid of serfdom sooner than most. They also still had royal taxes on any goods sold and labor done. An American farmer today isn't taxed on his crop. He's taxed on the income he gets from selling that crop, unless he's incorporated which means he'll pay less but have no Social Security. Most farmers split the income generated from the farm to all the members of their family so that they lower their taxes. My guess is that it works the same in Sweden, the crop isn't taxed, rather the income from it is.

If you were to take 25% of an American farmer's crop from him, it would be a hell of a lot more than 25% of his income. The same applies to Serfdom and Tenant farming. You're not taking 25% of the serf's income, you're taking 25% off the goods produced, and maybe all of his income, leaving the other 75% for food, goods required for the farm, and next years crop.

I'm not even going to address the fallacy of an argument about going back to the Gold Standard. There's a reason we left it, and it involved the controlled wealth of the world resting in the hands of the few.

I, of course, do not want a small moneyed elite to dominate anything. We will control the moneyed elite by ending Reaganomics, by ending banks being able to exist both here and in tax havens, by re-regulating banks and lowering their ability to invest in whatever risky ***** they want, by taxing corporations as foreign companies if they have more than 1/2 their wealth buried overseas, and by ending the moneyed elite's power over our political system with sane election funding laws. Remember that Mitt Romney only needed to pay around 10% on his taxes last year on an un-earned income of millions.

That "worthless paper" isn't depreciating at those interest rates. You have to take into account inflation which currently means it's near 0% (80% of our debt is at this level)-3%-7%-13%. If inflation ever goes higher it'll be even easier to pay off, but harder to sell. Since the Eurozone's problems aren't going anywhere soon, I doubt everybody won't keep shoveling money at the fed.

It's not a progressive value to feed Goldman's Sachs and Morgan Stanley, it's a capitalist value. Progressives have been fighting the investment firms and non-industrial moneyed forces for the last 50 years in this country. Unfortunately the moneyed interests also support parts of the Democratic party, we also fight that.

As for this "Grand Experiment of American Democracy", I have fought the ideas of some of these same conservative forces you've listed above for half my life. I've defended my belief in Progressive Liberalism to so many Neo-Conservative Reaganites, so many Born-Again Militia-men, and yes, now to a Neo-Royalist Christian Libertarian Swedish Gold Bug.

America is not perfect, not even close, but it is constantly rearranging itself towards the better, and trying to atone for it's sins. We have no tapestries of monarchy or aristocracy, in fact it's frowned upon to even hold those views. We are a nation of builders and doers, who aren't held back by history. Yes this leads to base shiny things being exalted above the old order. Thank god for that. We don't pay our monarchs to represent us, instead we allow democracy to winnow the adept and skilled. Obama is proof that anybody can be president. You can disagree with his policies but you can't disagree with that. Yes, we have too much war. Yes, we have too much poverty. But unlike the crumbling relics of European aristocracy, we have a dynamic democracy that changes weekly. We have many sins to pay for and many evils within us. We also have great goodness and a shining light that some people see as a new hope, a new idea, a new city on a hill.. We are both insulated and yet an incredibly diverse, pluralistic nation of immigrants. We have many problems including those orders of Greed and War that you've cited, and I fight their ideas every step of the way.

Happened to me. I didn't even particate that **** in the first place lmao.
So, I played the good old Runescape as usual with the guilds. I don't remember but I was obviously the only damsel on the guild. We played, had a really nice time and grindgrindgrind the **** out of monsters and level up. When one day another damsel got invited to the guild and everything was changed. Guild master wasn't aware of how such uppity ***** she is and was on the beginning.

Clearly what happened is, we just grindgrind items like Iron Ore for armor supply for our newbies in the guild, that little damsel was mining Iron Ore amongst us aswell. Alot of us talked except that she was pretty much quiet and didn't say much. Probably that's why GM didn't knew she would be a idiot not so soon. When just in a second, I started to hate my guts on her.
She started to flirt with the boys. And made sure all of the attention was turned to her and not me because well simply alot of guys talked to me. [We talked about cards n' card games. Mostly about Black Jack and Sheep Head. It was one of a true card lover guild indeed. I miss it now that the ***** ruined it all]
