Returns for high Plenty

Postby jrsydevil » Thu Apr 25, 2013 12:21 am

Ok.. so, I have some 91 purity Pumpkins planted... but I'm running out of decent humus.... FAST. So until I can procure or produce decent humus again, I want to maximize the amount of high purity flesh and seeds i can grab from this harvest. Question is.. Is there a cap for how much one field can produce?

I have it up to 516 Plenty atm.. but I have an alt camped on a Lime deposit.. so I can dump PLENTY (pun intended) more Lime onto it..

Should I?

I saw someone post this the other day.
I have no idea if there is a cap om plenty but i think this will be useful to see how far you are willing to take it.

Good luck with your harvest :)

There is no limit only diminishing returns.

Regularly did 2,000% influence to build tier 3 fields.

Plenty has fluctuated between 1,000-1,500 with no 'cap' in sight.

Ok.. my mistake... the 91 purity field was Cereal.. which I now have up to 704 plenty..

The pumpkin field is 78 purity.. which I got up to 505 plenty.. it is also at 287 speed.

Will post the yields as soon as they come in.

Personally, I get fields like tiered cotton fields (admiral's uniforms anyone?) to 1000% plenty. It takes a while, and it's mainly because I love round numbers. Afterwards, lime is only worth like 2% plenty each, and that's just where I draw the line. It depends a bit exactly HOW much you want to squeeze out of those last pieces of humus.

FYI: 1000% influence requires 33-35 hay with a woodchip as fourth fertilizer (can't remember exact amount, higher than 30 but lower than 35)

edit: I might also add that increasing speed is a bad choice if you want to make the best out of your humus. You get less time for throwing fertilizers on the field, and you get far lower return per piece of lime thrown on there.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

It can however strengthen the parts of the brain that are weak in ADD by forcing them into vigorous activity.

Prioritizing, making long-term plans, ignoring distractions, staying on track, and planning out the usage of your time. Playing Salem well requires doing all of these things.
