The main reason Haven is better than Salem IMO is that Salem feels a lot more sluggish. I haven't exactly measured, but I think I spend a lot less time watching progress percentages in Haven.

True, because in haven after click character was doing selected action/animation faster, but you had to click many more times :/

Well here's one of the problems right here then. Why are they developing 2 games at the same time for the same players? That seems really dumb.

They're not, thus the hiatus until Salem is able to support itself with just small updates thrown in here and there instead of major changes to gameplay

Salem starts to get boring once you realize there is an actual limit to how strong you can make a character. Haven allows you to literally be as big as you want, so long as you have the food to do it. When you start to hit the gluttony wall in Salem, you may as well roll an alt and raise him to the wall too, and then repeat.

The production systems in Haven all fit together pretty well together too, and are much more complete. Salem's are still being implemented, and seem more convoluted than necessary at the moment. Make a good purity set of alchemy crap and then wait hours-days for random 1-2% quality ticks that may explode your equipment? No thanks.

Combat's better by a wide margin too. A land where someone with more knowledge of the combat system can kill someone with 5x their stats with some reliability. How many 100 humour toons have you seen take down a 500 humour titan solo in Salem? I've seen 800+ ua monsters get slapped down by someone with 100mc.

Actually they are developing two different games, Salem has a strong theme and different scope (with main NPC towns etc).
They may take H&H in a completely different direction.

a) Because brooms & horse break the mechanic of game at that time. :mrgreen:

I was talking about salem. Haven does have graphics for horses made though. Has for years actually lol. It also has hawks, dragons and all kinds of weird crap haha
And yes, I think we can count on a completely different haven once Loftar gets back to it

I saw the brooms - but didn't know they were released temporarily - was this some time ago?
