"Already Logged In" Error

I went afk (in my village of course) and when I returned my client had frozen. I have closed and restarted Salem several times and when attempting to connect I get an "Already logged in" error message. Any way to fix this?

Often when the servers are down (as I'm guessing Yourgrandmother was pointing out at the time that was posted earlier), you'll get this message. Other times, the Java process can hang and not close properly. If the servers are up and you get this message, you'll need to manually kill the javaw.exe process through Task Manager (Windows) or an equivalent utility for your OS. You should make it a habit any time you leave Salem to make sure you use the safe log out commands (log out button in the Option menu or the console command :act lo) so that you get logged out even if Java doesn't properly close.
