Postby sebas27x » Wed Apr 17, 2013 6:06 am

i just picked up my game, i last played like 5 hours ago... and my surprise when i couldnt find my char in the list of characters when i logged in... created a new one... inherited my claim, but what i wonder... is how was it even possible for someone to kill my char while i was not online?

If you committed any crimes, you were probably summoned online with the evidence and killed.

But did you have criminal acts on and you have the trespass skill?

You can be summoned just for trespassing? I thought it was just the more serious crimes that could get you summoned like murder, or vandalism.

The second you left the boat, and the boat was on their land, the game recognises it as it belongs to the claim owner (Possession is 9/10th's of the law and its on his land).

You then "picked it up" (AKA: Stealing / thief), which left a larceny scent, which then allowed someone to collect the scent and summon kill you.

You don't need criminal acts on to cross a claim on a canoe. I've lost mine in similar fashion and that culminated in the death of some friends.

I've reported that bug more than two weeks ago and it's still unanswered in Seatribe's bug tracker. :x

Hmm, so you can be just canoeing along with the Bonanza theme playing on your speakers having a grand 'ole time and then inadvertently cross someone's claim across the water and that alone leaves a scent enough to get you killed? Or do you have to drop your canoe on their claim and then pick it back up?
