I've actually always had a good attitude about the game. Sorry if I sound like I'm down on it. I'm certainly not implying that anyone currently playing should stop.

And the thing is, the game IS already pretty nearly perfect, if you ask me. The only real problems are lack of polish and lack of marketing, both of which would easily be fixed by an injection of cash. Unfortunately, I can't see Paradox providing that injection, given the risk involved in marketing a game like Salem.

So the unfinished state will probably be permanent, and with no server wipe planned even after release all we become are hamsters running on an endless treadmill.

But I hope I'm wrong! Maybe the devs will get serious, put up some cash, and really make this the game it will ultimately become (only in 1 year, rather than 10).

eventually after their 3rd or 4th restart they go into "lol you still play THAT game? i quit after getting **** on so obviously im better than you" mode the morons at warcrap never learned this and that is why they have 50,000 servers with no players in spite of many million retards that play their game.

I wouldn't want a new server until all the currently intended purity mechanics are released and tested.

No point having to repeat this process in 2 months if it's avoidable.

I constantly see 150 players on each server - I believe even with many noobs and transitionals the servers are fairly full.
By my reckoning there are 1000-4000 players and players from all over the world.

150 is the max any server generally gets to, during peak times. There are never more than ~470 "players" online, including alts, even during peak times. I would put the total number of players at around 1200, if I had to guess (and that's split into 3 servers). That may be good enough for you to have fun, but not for me. Adding a new server would only make the problem worse, so in my opinion a server wipe of at least one server that already exists would be better (this should probably not happen until release, however...if that day ever comes).

I'm not trying to argue with you here. Like I said, it's my favourite game and I wish it was marketed at all, and run by more competent people (not saying the dev's aren't good at what they do, but clearly they have no experience making a mass market game).

Yesterday i saw a mega low. At one stage only 130~ total players were online across all 3 servers, why there were 251 people playing HnH at the same time.
