Excess items sent to the storage being automatically deleted if their storage is full. Also if other people want to access the storage, they should only be able to do so through theft, in such manner that Crime Debuff applies and nearby braziers shoot you.
I don't think that's what he meant. You could log off from your main character, all of the stuff in your inventory goes into the storage thing, then log on with an alt, take all the stuff from the main character's storage box, and then when you log back on with main, your inventory is empty and you can simply teleport home.
This will be exploited by raiders, just makes it easier for them.
Also, how in the hell would there be "excess items" if all of your stuff returns to your inventory when you log back on? Meaning there wouldn't be anything in the storage until you log back out. I would assume it would be the same size as your inventory, or else it wouldn't make any god damn sense to have this feature to begin with.
