The only things that impacts a field's resultant alchemical makeup are the humus used before planting the seeds and a small random factor.

I believe this has been confirmed. Clay has the same purity as the Milk of Lime used to create it.

That is my guess. You will also notice that the concentration listed for fresh Milk of Lime is 1.0%.
Tanning Fluid is 5% concentration and the water outweighs the brain's contribution 20:1. You do the math.

Does the purity of wood matter in the construction of wells? So does the water purity increase? Has anybody tested that?

Purity does not exist for clay troughs and wells. Keep an eye on the announcements forum on US Thursday mornings.

I d say this is accurate.
I tried to make salt gardening pot, here is the numbers.

Water : 42.05 29.40 11.43 17.12 (7% multi 1.67)
Lime : 37.76 20.90 15.44 25.90 (3% multi 1.33)
Milk of lime : 42.01 29.32 11.47 17.21 (7% multi 1.66)
Clay : 42.01 29.32 11.47 17.21 (7% multi 1.66)

42.05 * 99 + 37.76 * 1 = 4200.71 / 100 = 42.01 (rounded)
We get the same value i got on the clay.
So clay purity is 99% water + 1% lime.

For the gardening pot I was a bit disappointed.
Clay : 42.01 29.32 11.47 17.21 (7% multi 1.66)
Granite 32.31 25.73 13.64 28.31 2% 1.23
Lime 34.49 22.83 14.50 28.19 2% 1.26

Pot : 36.27 25.95 13.20 24.58 3% 1.32

42.01+32.31+34.49 = 108.81 / 3 = 36.27

So gardening pot = 33% clay, 33% granite, 33% lime.

Conclusion : even if the pot use more clay than lime and granite, they weight the same in the purity calculation. So keep your good lime for the gardening pot , and not for the clay.
