That misconception stems from the fact that there are numerous individuals and individual groups refusing to pay the treaty. The rebel label is one the tribe uses broadly to identify those players. As a result many players with different ideals have accepted that label. It's only considered fragmented leadership by those too small minded to perceive that the rebel label is an overly generalized term.

In this thread, Mushibag (you'll remember him from the siege of Mushiville as well as the famous chant, "Mushibag lives." At the time he was also referred to as the "hero of Plymouth") publicly denounces Jordan Coles as leader of the Rebellion.

Oh, and then there was that time Yasso signed off as "The Rebellion" after suggesting charging individuals in Boston to get across the DMZ south of Boston, a statement which prompted Coles to define what the Rebellion truly was and openly admitting that there were other rebel groups. That was fun.

Yours a common misconception used by people without a modicum of forethought to how the Tribe and its supporters differentiate common players from the rabble that makes up the majority of opposition to peace and order.
