Well purity

I live near a stream with 2% purity mercury. I just found a node for a well right next to my home. My question is, will the water purity in the well be different than the stream right next to it? Is it worth building the well?

Well purity wasnt a part of the recent update. So hold off on the well building

Currently Well Water is null-purity, 25.00 across the board.
