Foraged purity questions

Postby pistolshrimp » Sun Apr 07, 2013 11:02 pm

A few purity questions.

Is there purity in hollow stumps? I don't think I've seen anything above 0% come out of a stump with 30+ h&g.

What's the deal with inspirationals like brilliant honey-dew and perfect autumn leaf, is the purity and element the same as the object you picked up or can it be different? I can't confirm this but on retrospect I think a I grabbed a waxing toadstool with 2% purity and a honey-dew spawned in my inventory at 4% purity with a different element. Are these inspirationals even effected by proficiencies, since they spawn in inventory?

For instance would f&w effect the purity of say rainbow scales? It's obtained from a fish, but not from fishing per-se.

Anyone have any insights or observations here?

I picked up a 4% merc mushroom and got a autumn leaf of exactly the same alchemy in my inv.

As far as I can tell, anything that spawns in a container isn't set to whatever field you're on. Only things that spawn on the ground get purity.

Yes, secondary finds (honey dew, etc) have the same value as the item it was foraged with.
