logging out while carrying and item

I logged out while carrying a wooden box. When i logged back in it was gone

i apologize if this is already known.

What happened is someone must of picked it up.
If you where to log back in with an item such as a crate in the same spot you logged out.
Im sure it would tell you have lost your previous co-ords.
Someone correct me if im mistaken.

Anything dropped in the water will be destroyed, too. If you were near any type of water, this is possible.

yeah that was it..i logged out in a shallow stream...now i know. Thanks for the help!
