Stomp Damage?

I just got the stomp attack. Does stomp only stun or does it do damage as well?
Also does the stun from stomp have diminishing returns?

Stomps do damage, more than an Upper-Cut in fact. Their large delay-time can make them difficult to use as getting hit cancels the Stomp. Because they are an AoE attack, stomps can be useful for hitting fast moving or erratic targets (provided your timing is right). Another use is to aggro enemies that run away when you walk close. Chase a cricket and once you get close enough, stomp to initiate combat. Your stomp will fail, but at least the cricket will stop running.

I have some weird experience with stomp. With 60 biles I will sometimes stomp for around 4.5 dmg, and with around 30 I could sometimes (rarely) 1shot a deer with it. I'm guessing it's a matter of positioning too.

I have 30 YB and can't one-shot a deer with Stomp. I think the damage is around 3.8? Then again I have poo equipment But yea, I can never hit with it when I want to. I only use it to agro things. When it does hit it's out of pure dumb luck.

1 shotting a deer with 30 y/bile? So your saying your stomp was doing 15 damage?

I don't get it either but from some angles or so I did oneshot the buggers and still have no clue what mechanic allowed it.

15 damage stomps is about 200 Yellow Bile and very good gear or 300 Yellow Bile and average/poor gear.

Well I hardly have a reason to be making it up nor could I have misinterpreted what happened on my screen Still, normally it's the very low damage everyone else pulled up

Perhaps the deer you stomped to death was previously fighting a bear. It happens sometimes.

Ok well thanks for the info. So it looks like the damage depends on your yellow bile.
